Kojima: Help Wanted on Next Metal Gear Solid
After handing off Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance to Platinum Games, the fine folks at Kojima Productions are gearing up for the next Metal Gear Solid game. It’s untitled, not plot has been alluded to, and no one knows when it’s coming out. What we do know is that Kojima is looking to hire “skillful engineers, artists, and game creators” to help dazzle the world with the next installment of this series.
According to the game’s recruiting page, the game will be “targeted for high-end consoles and PC.” Kojima is also seeking “engineers to help develop next-gen game engine technology for use with the FOX Engine.” Lastly, they’re searching for a Brand Manager for the project. These are just the highlights, of course, there are a slew of positions available, possibly indicating that this game will be a much larger undertaking than its predecessors. (There’s also the possibility that a bunch of people left Kojima, but we’re trying to be optimistic here.)
This advertisement comes under the heading of “Development Without Borders” (alluding to the offices in both Japan and California) and announces that the Konami Group booth (#1914) in the Career Pavilion at GDC will be meeting with prospective candidates, so if you’re unemployed or hate your job, and are going to GDC, why not hit up Konami’s booth?
LET US KNOW: If you got to work on the next Metal Gear Solid game, what would you want it to look like? We’d love to hear your ideas in the comments section below.

I feel as though the end of the MGS series ended with MGS4. I don’t really know where they can go with this new installment. Everything was wrapped up in a nice bow at the end of 4. Maybe they should just call it quits. I don’t want to see the MGS series tarnished…
